What is Fixture Shield Home Ceramic Coating?
Fixture Shield Home Ceramic Coating is a DIY SiO₂ protective treatment for compatible kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Its water-repellent layer helps reduce residue buildup and makes routine cleaning easier. It does not repair scratches, peeling finishes or permanently etched glass.
How is Surface Revive different from Home Ceramic Coating?
Home Ceramic Coating is applied to a clean surface for longer-term protection. Surface Revive is a separate SiO₂ spray cleaner that cleans, refreshes shine and adds light protection for regular maintenance. Surface Revive is not a replacement for the coating, and the coating’s up-to-12-month claim does not apply to Surface Revive.
Which surfaces can I treat with Home Ceramic Coating?
The coating is intended for compatible surfaces including faucets, shower glass and stainless steel. Check the surface manufacturer’s care instructions and test an inconspicuous area before full application. Use our surface compatibility guide to help choose the right care routine.
Can I use Fixture Shield on stainless steel appliances or specialty finishes?
Check the appliance or finish manufacturer’s care instructions first, especially for fingerprint-resistant, black stainless, matte, decorative or factory-treated finishes. Approval for ordinary stainless steel does not establish compatibility with every factory coating. Test a small, hidden area before treating a compatible surface.
Will a ceramic coating stop every water spot or scratch?
No. Water repellency can make upkeep easier, but minerals can still leave spots when water dries. Continue gentle cleaning and remove standing droplets when practical. A coating does not repair existing scratches or damaged finishes.
Application, durability and maintenance
How do I apply Home Ceramic Coating?
Clean the surface with a compatible cleaner, remove residue and dry it. Apply a fine mist, spread evenly with a clean microfiber towel and buff away excess with a clean, dry section of the towel. Follow the directions supplied with your bottle.
How long does Home Ceramic Coating need to cure?
Current Home Ceramic Coating instructions specify 2 hours before use and 24 hours for full cure. Follow the directions supplied with your bottle. These cure instructions are for Home Ceramic Coating, not Surface Revive.
How long does Home Ceramic Coating last?
Protection can last up to 12 months with proper application and care. Actual life varies with the surface, water exposure and cleaning routine. This is a conditional maximum, not a guarantee that every application will last 12 months.
How do I maintain a coated surface?
Use mild soap or a pH-neutral cleaner compatible with the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners and tools. Keep following the surface manufacturer’s care instructions, and remove standing water when practical.
Can I reapply Home Ceramic Coating?
Yes. Clean the surface thoroughly, remove residue and dry it before reapplying according to the bottle directions. Recheck compatibility if the surface or its finish has changed.
How do I use Surface Revive?
Spray onto a compatible surface or a microfiber towel, wipe evenly and buff dry. Use weekly or as needed for maintenance, following the product label and surface manufacturer’s care instructions.

What is the Fixture Shield warranty?

How do I request a refund or exchange?
Orders from fixtureshield.com have a 30-day return window after delivery, subject to our return policy. Email support@fixtureshield.com with your order number to request a return. Wait for approval and return instructions before shipping. For Amazon or other retailer purchases, use that retailer’s return process.
